Record Management

Conservation or archival preservation refers to the specific steps undertaken to maintain, repair, restore and otherwise conserve archival records. Some of the basic archival conservation techniques include encapsulation, bookbinding, restoration, photocopying, and photographing, amongst others.

Archives Administration

Digital archiving is different from traditional archiving. Traditional archiving practice seeks to preserve physical objects (e.g., artefacts, samples, paper, photographs, microfilm) that carry information. Digital archiving seeks to preserve the information regardless of the media on which that information is stored.
